Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2024 collection is an ode to femininity, romance and the beauty of the natural world. Presented on the baroque grounds of Isola Bella, a small island on Lake Maggiore in Italy, the lush setting provided the perfect backdrop for the collection’s mix of nautical and botanical influences.

Particularly eye-catching were the bags and accessories from the LV Sea Treasure capsule. Think iridescent sequins that emulate the effect of scales against shining waters and radiating lights. To say that this trio of trunk-inspired bags are the definition of opulence is surely an understatement. Refreshed in gold and silver tones, these Louis Vuitton classics transform into ultimate accessories for the holidays.

Leading the way is the Treasure Box (SGD14,100) in Monogram Satin. Each piece requires craftsmen to apply translucent crystals by hand to subtly form the Monogram logo while simulating the effect of water. Complete with gold-tone elements, the precious minaudière measures 10.5 cm by 10.5 cm and opens via the S-lock hardware. It comes with an extra top handle and a crossbody strap for flexible wearing styles.

Then comes the Petite Malle (SGD15,000) dressed in silver crystals to replicate the effect of Galuchat stingray leather. Paying homage to the Borromeo Palace in Isola Bella, Louis Vuitton transformed its OG trunk into a silver masterpiece. With matching hardware and trims, this is also the biggest at 20 cm wide and 12.5 cm high.

The third and final bag is the Micro Malle Capitale (SGD14,100). Think of it as a miniature version, at 13 cm by 10.2 cm, of Louis Vuitton’s Petite Valise top-handle bag. Similar to the Treasure Box and Petite Malle, this captivating, shimmering number is entirely crystal-encrusted. Besides using it as a clutch, you can also slide its removable strap over the shoulder for a hands-free evening.
