L’Artisan Parfumeur Opens Flagship At Takashimaya Shopping Centre

Fragrance aficionados, rejoice! L’Artisan Parfumeur’s first standalone store in Southeast Asia has found its home in Singapore at Takashimaya Shopping Centre. For those new to the brand, the artisanal French parfumerie is famous for creating distinctive, botanically inspired olfactory creations.

It all started in 1976 when its founder, chemist Jean Laporte, conjured an unlikely banana scent for the legendary Folies Bergère cabaret. He had an uncanny knack for developing unique fragrances that reinvented nature. Two years later, he launched the Mûre et Musc, the first perfume in the world to use a blackberry accord. In fact, that now-iconic perfume birthed the very concept of niche perfumery.

You can now experience Mûre et Musc, along with over 40 fragrances from its La Botanique, La Collection, Le Potager, Les Merveilles and Les Paysages lines, at the new flagship. The space showcases earthy tones, antique wooden furniture and a host of plants that reflect the brand’s synergy with nature. Refined and tranquil, it is reminiscent of Laporte’s workshop and his first boutique on Rue de Grenelle in Paris.

Aside from giving Mûre et Musc a go, catch a whiff of cult favourites, Abyssae, Passage d'Enfer and Un Air de Bretagne at the fragrance discovery bar. Prices start at SGD160 for a 50 ml EDT and from SGD185 for a 50 ml EDP. You’ll also find a comprehensive selection of sensorial home, bath and body items to extend your olfactory experience. These range from SGD40 for a bar of soap to SGD385 for a 450 g candle.
