The four-ring detailing on Alexander McQueen’s clutches is one of its most iconic innovations. Named the Knuckle because you slide your fingers through for easy grip, the minaudière’s ornate finishes star the inimitable skull.

For fall-winter 2023, the brand introduces a new rendition called the Reverse Clutch. Delivering a surprising twist, Alexander McQueen elevates the style by adding leather handles on either side of it. This not only transforms it into arm candy, but it also means that you can no longer hold the Knuckle in the traditional way.

Instead, you clutch it in reverse position, holding the underside of the bag close to your body. And that there explains the reason behind the name of this new version.

Measuring 30 cm wide and 21 cm high, the Reverse Clutch features a zip-around closure to keep your essentials safe. This larger size is perfect for fans of the Alexander McQueen clutch who wish it also came in proportions suitable for daytime use.

It launches in Black and Blood Red, paired with antique silver-finish hardware and Swarovski-encrusted rings. Retailing at SGD5040, the Reverse Clutch is available for pre-order with estimated shipping dates from end-September.

Time to turn your world upside down with Alexander McQueen’s cool new iteration of a beloved favourite.
