On a mission to provide easy access to circular fashion, Coach is finally launching a sub-brand called Coachtopia. Using sustainable practices, it features merchandise made with little-to-no new materials.

Community is also at the heart of Coachtopia, as Coach joins hands with Gen Z climate activists, emerging designers and fashion lovers to drive change while embracing sustainability in fashion. Coach is no stranger to circularity since the Coach (Re)Loved programme began giving second life to 20,000 (and counting) products two years ago.

Now, Coachtopia reimagines the entire product lifecycle from beginning to end with recyclable, repurposed and renewable materials. These include using leather scraps for bags, 95 percent recycled cotton for T-shirts, 100 percent recycled polyester for canvas totes, as well as bio-based renewable Sugarcane EVA for shoes.

The debut Coachtopia collection features two key bags: the Ergo and Wavy Dinky. Both use innovative upcycling techniques that include a mix of patchwork, leather appliqué and scrap binding. Resin elements on detachable handles, hardware and hangtags from recycled plastic waste reinforces Coachtopia’s commitment to a zero-waste future.

Every Coachtopia item will come with an embedded NFC chip that links to its unique digital passport. You can gain insight into materials while reading about its journey of repairs, restoration and reusability throughout its lifecycle. And if you love collaborative drops, Coachtopia will also be working with talents in the community, starting with New York-based graphic designer and illustrator Sabrina Lau.

Look out for the canvas tote bag showcasing her colourful artwork. Coachtopia is also member of One Percent for the Planet. It pledges 1 percent of its annual sales to verified environmental non-profit organisations working to create positive climate change while protecting the earth.

Keen to find out more? The collection will be launching within Coach Play Singapore Shophouse at 5 Keong Saik Road from 4 August 2023 with a new dessert menu courtesy of Brawn & Brains, as well as a coaster-making workshop that you can book online.
