Bigger is better as far as Apple’s MacBook Air goes. The lightweight device now comes with a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, boasting 18 hours of battery life and an upgraded six-speaker sound system. Apple also introduces the powerful M2 chip, making it even faster than the previous generation. It delivers 100 GB/s of memory bandwidth while supporting up to 24 GB of fast unified memory.

This is the first time the MacBook Air will come in a 15-inch version, making it an excellent option for those who love a powerful workhorse on the go. It currently takes the spot as the world’s slimmest 15-inch laptop at just 1.13 cm thin, no less. The best part? Not only does its fan-less design keep it quiet, but it also helps it stay relatively light at 1.24 kg.

Continuing its commitment to the environment, Apple uses 100 percent recycled gold plating and tin soldering for the circuit boards. The MacBook Air also uses 100 percent recycled cobalt in the MagSafe connector and 100 percent recycled earth elements in all of its magnets, taking it another step closer to its 2030 target for all its products to be completely carbon neutral.

Pre-orders for the 15-inch MacBook Air are open, with in-store availability slated for 13 June 2023 in Singapore. You can choose between 256 GB or 512 GB SSD storage, with prices starting from SGD1899 and SGD2199 respectively. Both come with M2 chip, 16-core Neural Engine and MagSafe 3 charging port, but additional charges apply for optional upgrades.

Also, you have the choice of four colours. Midnight and Space Grey are darker shades, while those who love a brighter, shiny hue will prefer Silver or Starlight.
