The time has come for the return of the highly anticipated annual #WatchesAndWonders showcase. Held in Geneva, Switzerland from 27 March to 2 April, the week-long affair showcases watchmaking novelties from famed watchmaking houses. And here’s what to look forward to from Cartier at Watches & Wonders 2023.

Elegant and sophisticated, re-interpretations of the Santos and Santos-Dumont timepieces result in outstanding new formats. Right from the get-go, the Santos in a striking Deep Green dial is one of the key highlights in the collection. Gradated colours and a coating of tinted lacquer gives it a subtle shimmery effect. The stunning finish promises to radiate even from afar.

The Deep Green Santos packs an 1847 MC automatic movement within. Available in medium (SGD10,100) and large (SGD11,100) formats, it also comes with matching QuickSwitch interchangeable straps in steel and alligator. Still partial to the blue dial? Then you’ll be glad to find it in medium (SGD10,100), with case dimensions of 35.1 mm by 8.83 mm.

Next, we come to the Santos-Dumont, with five beautiful new timepieces joining the ever-growing family. The Santos-Dumont XL in Rose Gold and Yellow Gold come in at SGD25,600, while the one in platinum retails for SGD33,800.

They also feature Roman numerals and cabochons in differing gems, namely green jade, blue dumortierite, and red jasper, in that same order. Equipped with a 430 MC mechanical movement with manual winding, the timepieces come with matching alligator straps. These three models are limited to 200 individually numbered pieces each.

The last two are part of the permanent line-up, in Grey and Navy Blue with guilloché dials. The grey Santos-Dumont (SGD8650) is a solid option under 10 grand, even with hints of yellow gold around the bezel. Or go all out with the full yellow gold (bezel and case) Santos-Dumont priced slightly higher at SGD18,600. Both timepieces feature a high-autonomy quartz movement.

The new Santos and Santos-Dumont will be released progressively in 2023, so stay tuned to find out more information on exact launch dates. Do note that the SGD prices are indicative, and subject to potential price adjustments within the year.
