Sneakers are an integral part of Louis Vuitton’s menswear collection. If anything, the highly coveted (and now, sold out) collaboration with Nike’s Air Force 1 is solid proof that streetwear-cool kicks continue to do well at the French fashion house.
Managing to blend form and function all at once, Louis Vuitton continues to launch new styles. Each is designed completely in-house and made in Italy. Just like one of its newest silhouettes, the LV Skate Sneaker. It’s a ‘90s-inspired design that takes references from the world of skateboarding.
Skate shoes often come with a flat outsole for better grip. Naturally, the same is true of the LV Skate Sneaker’s rubber outsole. Each utilises a combination of materials comprising calf leather, suede and technical mesh. Dual laces are also a nice touch, making it a certified-cool pair that ranks high on desirability.
Unlike existing models that focus heavily on monograms, the LV Skate Sneaker showcases a single oversize Monogram Flower at the side that’s decidedly less in-your-face. Four colours are currently available in Singapore, starting with the neutral Beige. Deep dark Denim Noir, cool blue Marine and bold fiery Red complete the stylish quartet.
Priced at SGD1880, the sneakers come in sizes ranging from 5 to 13, so ladies can get in on the action as well.
