While the sporty upper is reminiscent of familiar Balenciaga favourites like the Triple S and Track, the over-the-top ‘extreme tyre tread’ sole is the one to watch for these ‘as chunky as it gets’ trainers.

Available in full Black or Beige, the Defender Trainers (SGD1450) are given a worn-out effect on the mesh and nylon elements, with the thick soles paired with a similar treatment.

Balenciaga logos can be found on the shoe tongue, along with the signature numerical size placed at the edge of the toe and at the back near the heel.
