The recently revived bamboo line has a new name, now known as the Gucci Bamboo 1947, paying homage to the structured bamboo handle found on Gucci leather goods back in Italy’s 1947 post-war period.
Not only is bamboo known for being lightweight, but the material is also one that’s durable, hardy and guaranteed to weather the test of time. And new iterations have been making a comeback of late, starting with the Bamboo 1947 Mini Top Handle Bamboo Bag which you read about previously.
And if you’re on the hunt for something smaller that’s definitely different but still part of the family, take a closer look at the Gucci 1947 Mini Belt Bag. Created as a hybrid showpiece for those who love multiple styling options, this bag in GG Supreme canvas or brown leather is sold together with different straps.
Besides the longer sling (the one that comes with a large horsebit clasp) that allows you to wear it around the waist, there is also a shorter sling that allows you to convert the belt bag into a shoulder sling or a handheld piece, for days when you want a different look altogether.
The entire range, including these new belt bags, is now available at Gucci Singapore’s online store, as well as over at the local boutiques in ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Paragon Shopping Centre. How much? The one in GG Supreme canvas is priced at SGD3700, while the one in full leather is slightly higher at SGD3850.
Which one have you got your eyes set on?
