Louis Vuitton’s LV² Collection With Nigo Drops Tomorrow

You have already seen most, if not all, of the sneaks online featuring Louis Vuitton’s LV² collection in its collaboration with Japanese fashion designer Nigo, who founded streetwear staple Human Made. And in case you’re wondering if there are huge differences compared with the last drop back in 2020, there are. For one, the RTW is more relaxed, with less emphasis on sharp tailored looks, but rather, a huge emphasis on patchwork denim pieces, leather bombers and more casual suiting sets.

As far as the bags are concerned, expect the usual classics given the LV² twist, complete with a heart-shaped LOUIS VUITTON MADE logo right in front. From favourites like the Keepall 50 (SGD5200) to the Keepall XS (SGD3650) given the Monogram Drip treatment, the single most interesting bag from this drop has got to be the Japanese Cruiser (SGD3650), a totally new style that’s a hybrid between a furoshiki top knot and a bucket bag. Also finished Monogram Drip-style, the top part of the bag is made of denim, with the bottom in full leather that’s finished with a huge red heart-shaped hang tag for maximum effect.

Then there are other pieces as well to love, from the smaller sling bags to SLGs like wallets and card cases, and the novelty of the collection which happens to be a bag that comes in the shape of a duck (SGD6100). Crafted almost entirely out of Monogram Canvas, it’s an animal that always pops up in collections by Human Made, so it’s only natural it is making an appearance in this collaboration as well.

Another huge focus for this LV² collection also happens to be its lifestyle line-up, and you’ll find everything from a giant tiger rug (SGD7250) to smaller bits and bobs like the coaster set and ceramic cups adorned with cute motifs. There’s also a drool-worthy hard-sided trunk (SGD18,100) that’s good for watches and fine jewellery, a centrepiece that’s guaranteed to become THE heirloom keepsake.

The best news? Louis Vuitton’s LV² drops tomorrow in Singapore, with the first wave to be released at their boutique in ION Orchard (28 October 2021), while the second wave will debut at Louis Vuitton’s Takashimaya Shopping Centre store on 18 November 2021.
