A Quick Refresher On The Hermès Roulis Mini

Bags do come and go at Hermès, but most eventually earn themselves a coveted spot as a ‘classic’ at the French luxury house. One of them includes the Roulis, a discreet-looking design that does not come with the inimitable ‘H’ logo nor the Touret clasp which you would recognise on the BirkinConstance and Kelly bags. Instead, it features the Chaîne d’ancre link as a piece of oversized hardware that helps keep the flap firmly secured in place.

Made for those truly in the know, the Roulis is perfect for ladies who are on the hunt for a bag that does not scream Hermès. Its streamlined proportions and the boxy silhouette are also great for both day and night, with the Roulis Mini measuring 18 cm wide and 15 cm high.

Looks aside, the bag is every bit functional, thanks to the spacious central compartments and slip pockets that will help to keep everything neat and well-organised. The strap can also be adjusted to several lengths, with a double loop giving you a shorter under-the-arm look and a single loop that’s perfect for slinging comfortably across the body or over the shoulder.

While it’s not considered the rarest of the rare at Hermès, the Roulis (and its many sizes, including the Roulis Mini) remains rather elusive, and you might only be able to spot it on the shelves from time to time. Some of you might also be lucky enough to see it online, with the mini size priced at SGD10,500 a pop. The Roulis also comes in leathers like ClemenceNatural Veau and Sombrero, as well as exotic alligator if you fancy something truly exotic.
