Nike x AMBUSH Dunk High Sneakers

To call 2020 the ‘year of the dunks’ is pretty much true, with Nike releasing tons of colour combinations with names like Brazil and Kentucky, just to name a few. Then there were the collaborations with big-name celebs and brands like Travis Scott and Ben & Jerry’s, both commanding sky-high prices in the resale market due to their limited availability.

Come 11 December 2020, Nike will be teaming up with Tokyo-based designer Yoon (of AMBUSH) and the National Baseball Association (NBA) to release a new collection that includes long-sleeve jersey tops, warm-up pants, jackets, and of course the star of every basketball collaboration, the iconic Nike Dunk.

Yoon took inspiration from the Japanese biking culture, dressing up the sneaker with an extended Swoosh that goes beyond the heel like bike pipes. Not only does it give the sneaker an elevated twist, but Yoon has also added several other finishing touches, such as the AMBUSH logo at the back, as well as co-branded tongue tags and insoles to make this a coveted addition for fans of both Nike and AMBUSH alike. Yoon is also the first female designer to partner with Nike and the NBA, breaking all-new grounds in the field with her vibrant apparel collection that starts from SGD169.

As for the Dunk High, that’s SGD259 each and will only be available in a Black/White combination with sizes for him and her. It will be available from 1000 hours on 11 December, and it’s always fastest fingers first if you want to snag a pair. Some tips to get you ahead of the pack? Set your alarm five minutes before, log in and make sure all your payment details are in place, so it’s all about ‘click and checkout’ when the Nike x AMBUSH Dunk High Sneakers is officially up for sale come Friday.
