Rimowa: Get Ready For The Return Of The #RIMOWAPersonal

No one saw this coming, but it is a really nice surprise nonetheless. Boys and girls, feast your eyes on Rimowa’s very own line of #RIMOWAPersonal cases, a line that’s slightly different from the ones done in collaboration with French luxury house Dior. Simply Rimowa’s extension into lifestyle products that go beyond its classic suite of luxury travel goods, these Personal cases can be carried for the everyday, ones you can sling casually across the body or hold like a clutch, depending on how you choose to style them.

And for comparison’s sake, the major difference between the Dior collaboration versions and these Personal cases would be the choice of material. While the former comprised 4 different colours in anodised aluminium, the latter are constructed from the brand’s lightweight (and dent-resistant) grooved polycarbonate.

This is also reflected in the price, with the Personal cases priced at SGD1750 a pop. What’s more, it looks like these cases will also come in seasonal hues with future updates, like colours Cactus and Desert Rose (both new colours of the season), along with permanent classics like Black and White.

What do they look like on the inside? Well, for starters, the size is the same, and they come with two compartments and a central zipped pocket to house all your daily essentials, much like the previous ones. There are also 3 card slots in the middle so you don’t have to carry an extra cardholder; just remember to buckle the straps to secure everything in place and you’re all good to go.

Lastly, and most importantly, when? The #RIMOWAPersonal will be launched in time for Christmas and is now slated for 3 December 2020. In other words, it is time to get personal with your local Rimowa SA and get yourself on the wait list before popular colours like Cactus and Desert Rose get reserved. Because they will be.
