There’s no better way to celebrate three must-have designs at #DiorMen than to have them reinterpreted with an all-new material specially created for Winter 2020. Coined the #DiorOblique Tapestry, you will find the B23 Sneaker, Rider Backpack and Soft Saddle Bag coming in their iconic motif, only this time they are embroidered using a highly specialised wool tapestry technique.

The backpack is pretty much self-explanatory and you’re already familiar with the B23 Sneaker, so this post will focus on the rising superstar that’s simply known as the Soft Saddle Bag. Essentially a supersized version of the women’s version, this measures 40 cm wide by 29.5 cm high, making it one of the coolest carryalls for men yet.

Kim Jones has kept the unmistakable contour design of the #DiorSaddle right in front, forming a flap that conceals an exterior pocket. Everything else can be stored within the main roomy compartment (14.5 cm wide), one that can be accessed via the zip closure on the top. Another plus point? Both calf leather straps (the shorter top handle and the longer shoulder) can be removed, giving you multiple ways of carrying it.

While there’s currently no word on the price for the Soft Saddle Bag, you can do a quick estimate by comparing it with the Rider Backpack which was priced at SGD6000 in Singapore (there was just one piece that came ahead of the official launch). In other words, the Soft Saddle Bag might cost slightly more when you factor in elements such as the extra special woven material, as well as its significantly larger size.
