Cartier Must de Cartier Collection

If you are of a certain age, you will remember Must de Cartier, the original bag line from Cartier that was a minimalist’s dream way back when. The good news? The entire range will be relaunched in their signature burgundy calfskin and will still feature the oversized logo embossed on the exterior. The only difference? Expect a selection of bags styles, from a newish shoulder sling to a large tote that’s perfect for those who need to lug around their kitchen sink on a daily basis.

Part of the women’s collection, the Must de Cartier line-up will also include zipped wallets and continental flap wallets for ladies who prefer carrying a matching bag and SLG at all times. Interestingly, the bags are all inspired by the original Must Game bag dating back to the 1970s, except this time they’re updated with all-new elements.

Aside from the hobo bag, the line-up includes a shoulder sling version that can be easily worn across the body. The latter opens via a magnetic flap that allows for easy access, with a strap that’s adjustable to several lengths. The third design includes the roomy tote, armed with two top handles that can be carried by hand (or over the shoulder), with several inner pockets to keep your essentials neatly in place. The highlight of the all-new 2020 versions would be the reworked logo, this time coming in an XXL format that’s embossed and saddle-stitched, forming a medallion that sits beautifully stylised as a C, an homage to the ardillon buckle found on some of the straps on your favourite Cartier watches.

While there’s currently no word on the confirmed prices in Singapore, the updated Must de Cartier line will only be reaching boutiques from November 2020. Which could also mean it might stand the chance of being your festive bag companion from December through to February 2021.
