Prada’s Olfactories is the latest creation from the Italian luxury house, one that goes a step further into a realm unexplored, with a collection of 10 different scents under the creative direction of Miuccia Prada. Created in unison with perfumer Daniela Andrier, a master behind iconic scents like Prada Infusion De Vetiver, Prada Luna Rossa Sport and Prada Candy, you can expect a similar sense of allure and elegance with the Prada Olfactories collection, a selection of fragrances that are complex and provocative, described as ‘potent concoctions’ that will evoke memories of a ‘partially remembered dream’.

Starting with Cargo de Nuit that’s reminiscent of a voyage out in the ocean at night, the light and airy scent will carry you into the high seas. Then, there’s Purple Rain, a powdery fragrance that’s named after Iris, also known as the goddess of the rainbow.

Moving on to Neu Au Soleil, which is all about orange blossom, one that elicits the scent of golden nectar. Marienbad, on the other hand, is a charming one that reminds you of an afternoon out with a cup of black coffee and spiced tortes by your side. Day for Night? Well that’s one that’s heavy on amber, perfect for those who love an earthy scent all night (or day, if you wish) long.

Next up, Un Chant D’Amour is likened to the softness of a human touch, while Pink Flamingos and Tainted Love are lighter scents that will cheer you up. Pink Flamingos, as its name suggests, is all about hearty notes of pink blossoms that remind you of a day out in the heart of Tokyo, while Tainted Love is all about the universal scent of an essential cherished by many – lipstick.

Winding down to the remaining two, Heat Wave is a dense fragrance that carries the scent of night-blooming flowers, while Double Dare is all about the beautiful combination of leather and spice.

Each bottle comes in a clear glass that reveals the fragrance within, finished with midnight-blue caps and sky-blue logo plaques that come in the texture of the signature Saffiano leather. Better yet, each scent comes with its very own silk pouch in a myriad of prints drawn from the Italian house’s archives, and finished with an appliquéd Prada insignia on the exterior, making it a great gift as well.

Another point worth noting? All 10 scents under the Prada Olfactories range are unisex and come in a single Eau de Parfum 100 ml bottle (SGD440) that are now available at the new Prada fragrance counter at Takashimaya Department Store, as well as several Prada boutiques islandwide.
