Back at Louis Vuitton’s Cruise show in May, Nicolas Ghesquière teamed up with famed Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto, which saw the eclectic samurai-faced Japanese designs featured on selected RTW and leather accessories. And the subject of today’s post? The Cruise 2018 Pochette Kabuki,  named after the ancient Japanese art of the same name in which the performers wear elaborate makeup for theatre performances. With the Pochette Kabuki, the mask is printed and embossed onto the Epi leather flap that sits over a Monogram Canvas or Monogram Reverse body.

Go past the Epi front flap and you’ll will find the canvas body furnished with two compartments that’s separated by a central zipped pocket. Finished with two straps, a non-removable oversized chain handle and a detachable leather strap, the 20 cm by 15 cm Pochette Kabuki is quite literally, one eye-catching bag.

Available in 3 different designs, the one with a red-faced print on a Monogram Canvas body will retail at SGD3550, while the Black and White with Yellow highlights will go for SGD3400.

As for the Pochette Kabuki with a Monogram Reverse coated-canvas body, that will be slightly higher at SGD3650. Looking for the perfect bag to carry to the upcoming Halloween party? You’re staring at it. Or is it staring at you?
