Hermès Constance Long Wallet

If you were one of the 1376 (and counting) fans of the Constance Compact Wallet which was posted on Instagram a week ago, you would have equal love (perhaps even more after reading this post) for its sibling that is the Constance Long Wallet.

Here’s why. It’s way longer than the compact version, coming in at a length of 20.5 cm that makes it a really sizeable piece, a shape that almost reminds you of the elusive Constance Elan. Which brings up the next cool bit. The extra wide length allows the Constance Long Wallet to double up as a WOC, where some Hermès aficionados attach an Hermès long chain necklace (like the Farandole 120 cm) through the interior, allowing the wallet to be carried over the shoulder like a mini Constance bag. After all, the wallet comes with 12 credit card slots, 2 bill pockets and a central zipped change purse that is more than sufficient for daily use. There are also two extra slip pockets on the front and the interior which can be useful for storing folded pieces of paper or receipts.

The wallet comes predominantly in leather, in calfskin versions like Epsom (a sturdier, structured material), or Evercolor (a softer, grained calfskin) and priced at SGD7500. For a wallet that bears signature Hermès elements like the ‘H’ buckle, quality leather, functional finishings, and the ability to be converted into a mini bag, it does seem about right considering Hermès products don’t come cheap to begin with.

And for those who love a good exotic, there are also versions of the Constance Long Wallet in ostrich as well. Or just go all out and get the alligator (either a matte or shiny finish) that will retail at a whopping SGD20,000 and up.
