Phoebe Philo went live yesterday, and judging by the response of her Philophiles, it’s as if she never left. Indeed, half of her bags online have already sold out, including the Gig Bag that looks remarkably like the Trio from her Celine days.

Taking on a much larger format that measures some 31 cm by 26 cm, you could almost say the Gig Bag picks up where the Trio left off. In 100 percent calf leather and calf suede lining, the unisex style also comes with a trio of structured compartments.

But there are minor differences worth noting. Firstly, you can wear the made-in-Italy bag via its long sling at two different lengths. It also features a top zip closure and guarantees to hold plenty, even for a long day.

And seeing how all three colours (Black, Oxblood and White) are already sold out, the Philophiles are obviously lapping it up, even if it costs EUR2600 a pop. That said, it is a good price for a full-leather bag, plus bragging rights for getting first dibs.
