Loewe delivers yet another quirky number, combining the best of Jonathan Anderson’s eclectic design aesthetic with artisanal workmanship and quality materials. Meet the Spanish fashion house’s new Squeeze. Part of the Fall-Winter 2023 collection, it launched in two sizes with a wide range of colours to choose from.
Making the Squeeze requires elaborate work from Loewe’s expert artisans. Firstly, the nappa leather undergoes checks for its buttery-soft and smooth qualities while remaining free of spots and scratches. Then different parts of the leather are segmented to form the base, front, side, handle and internal pocket.

After the leather arrives at the atelier, construction on the Squeeze begins. To simulate its drawstring appearance, the upper is fashioned to conceal a weighted chain, while interior edges are sewn by hand. The top handle comprises a 3D-printed material with extra layers of padding and leather to give it a squishy grip. And therein lies the inspiration for the bag’s name.

Alternatively, you can carry it via the adjustable donut chain, which converts it into an over-the-shoulder style. The chain strap features a gold-plated stainless steel and aluminium alloy, giving it lightweight characteristics while maintaining a brilliant shine.
The Squeeze comes in small and medium, with seasonal shades of Chalk, Chocolate, Oak and Olive joining classic colours like Black and Seaside Blue. Each bag is deliberately lining-free so that it retains a foldover nature and squishy-soft appeal. With prices starting at SGD5850, will this be the new Squeeze on your list?
