Before Sabato De Sarno’s #GucciSS24 collection arrives in-store early next year, something to look forward to now will be Horsebit Chain bag. An ode to the Horsebit buckle, you could say its Gucci’s bag-of-the-season. 

A Gucci archival design, a quick search on Google shows vintage iterations from the early 2000s. However, like everything reintroduced, there are tweaks and updates. Presented in a plethora of colours and finishes, the east-west silhouette gives off maximalist vibes, thanks to the elaborate oversized Horsebit buckle.

Looking for a classic? You can’t go wrong with the one in Gucci’s Original GG canvas, complete with a thick green and red web band. Leather lovers may prefer the quilted iteration with a puffy, pillow-like finish. Sizes start from small which measures 27 cm by 11.5 cm, while medium stands at 38 cm by 15 cm.

Key highlights include the detachable leather strap and extra chain sling that offer extra versatility in styling choices. You can also clutch it by sliding your hand through the maxi Horsebit buckle. The magnetic snap closure on the flap opens to reveal a roomy interior with an extra card slot.

Prices depend on your choice of finish and size, of course. The Horsebit Chain Shoulder Bag in Original GG canvas in small and medium go for SGD4250 and SGD4620 respectively. Or go one up with the leather ones coming in SGD5500 and SGD5910 respectively.
