Inspiration can come from anywhere. Case in point, the Équinoxe de Chanel makeup range headlining Chanel Beauty’s Fall-Winter 2023 collection. It draws from the warm, distinguished colours of knits and sweaters, as well as velvet and tweed pieces, that Gabrielle Chanel was partial to during her favourite autumn season.

The line-up features inviting earthy hues that echo the warm colours of the fall equinox. Think trees that don red-orange foliage and gardens that take on shades of ochre for sophisticated looks all year around.

For starters, warm up the eyes with the limited-edition Ombre Première Libre (SGD54), the maison’s first loose eyeshadow. Using the built-in sponge-tip applicator, the light and powdery texture transforms into a smooth, creamy finish on skin. Each swipe delivers deep, vibrant colour with a satin sheen. Available in six shades, from hazelnut and walnut browns to burnt sienna and caramelised garnet.

Another must-have? Two collectible Douceur d’Équinoxe blushers (SGD104 each) that impart an effortless glow. As a tribute to the season, the too-pretty-to-use palettes showcase the CC monogram and a leaf pattern embossing. Choose from 797 Beige et Corail (beige and muted coral) and 798 Beige Rosé et Mauve (rosy beige and mauve).

Within the collection, you’ll also find six new shades of the hydrating and plumping Rouge Coco Bloom (SGD62) lipsticks. These coordinate perfectly with two new shades of Le Vernis nail polishes (SGD46 each).

Everything you need to prolong the joyful and cosy warmth of the season. The Fall-Winter 2023 makeup collection is available at Chanel’s Fragrance & Beauty boutiques and counters, as well as online via its official e-store.
