Le Labo: 5 Things To Know About 2023's City Exclusives

For fans who have been waiting for the annual return of Le Labo’s City Exclusives event, here’s good news. Yes, not only is it back, but it’s happening now! For those who are new to the occasion or simply want to find out what’s new, here are five things to know.

01 - The City Exclusives collection serves as an ode to some of the coolest cities in the world. An expression of each location’s energy, these fragrances are usually only available in the city they are made for. But once a year, they make a limited appearance in every Le Labo boutique around the world. In other words, it’s your opportunity to either discover something new or stock up on favourites.

02 - This year, there are a total of 16 City Exclusives scents to explore. This includes a new chypre addition for Shanghai, Myrrhe 55. At its heart, you’ll find myrrh, a resin once considered so sacred that it was more valuable than gold. Dark yet electric, the understated heart note smells of incense with a liquorice twist. Accompanying this is jasmine and patchouli, anchored on a bed of oud, ambergris and musk.

03 - Can’t wait to start your City Exclusives experience? From now until 30 September, you can explore all 16 scents in mini 1.5 ml Discovery Sizes (SGD18). Too many to decide? Then consider the Discovery Set (SGD90) that’s a curation of five favourites: Cedrat 37 (Berlin), Gaiac 10 (Tokyo), Myrrhe 55 (Shanghai), Tabac 28 (Miami) and Vanille 44 (Paris).

04 - Perhaps you’ve found something you like and would like to purchase a larger size. Look forward to full-size fragrances that will be available from 1 September to 30 September. The eau de parfums come in four sizes: 15 ml (SGD218), 50 ml (SGD520), 100 ml (SGD735) and a jumbo 500 ml (SGD2575).

05 - City Exclusives scents may only be available once a year for a limited time. However, those with 50 ml, 100 ml and 500 ml bottles can refill them at Le Labo boutiques at Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre all year round. It’s also worth noting that while the 500 ml bottles are exclusive to the Marina Bay Sands outlet, both stores offer refills for the smaller sizes.
