To say that Fendi hit a home run with the Soft Trunk Baguette is a bit of an understatement. There are currently at least nine interpretations available, affirming its status as an up-and-coming icon of the Italian fashion house. And with a name like Soft Trunk Baguette, it isn’t difficult to see where the bag’s inspiration came from.

Think of it as a contemporary take on the beloved Baguette, except in a boxy, structured shape. Parked under Fendi’s men’s range, it also uses only palladium-finish hardware for the FF clasp and accompanying strap. It’s called a soft trunk because you won’t find any hard-sided elements, apart from the rivets in front, of course.

Other plus points include its ease of use, opening easily via the magnetic FF clasp to reveal a microfibre-lined interior with six leather card slots tucked into the inner back wall. Logo lovers can opt for the FF motif in fabric or leather, available in a variety of colours ranging from black to brown and darker shades of blue and grey. There are also seasonal takes, such as the cloud-printed leather, Fendi Astrology and Fendi by Marc Jacobs, all part of recent capsule collections.
