Balenciaga Brings Out The Flowers For The Crush Sling

Flowers aren’t limited to springtime, as evident in Balenciaga’s latest series of Crush bags.

They feature cheery floral motifs blooming all over the shiny paper calfskin exterior. Drop a hint ahead of the next time your crush gets you flowers, especially since these effectively last forever. Or why not buy it for yourself?

You get to pick from prints of either lush red poppies or delicate yellow and white lilies. Both feature in Balenciaga’s Fall-Winter 2023 collection, coming in black and green leather on Look 33 and Look 27 respectively. A closer look further reveals that the Crush has undergone a slight update with a reworked strap.

The new Crush Sling comes with an adjustable leather shoulder strap that replaces the chunky chain slings from seasons past. Not only is it slightly lighter due to the material change, but the Crush Sling carries a streamlined look, complete with a tone-on-tone leather strap.

Besides the strap change, everything else from the curvilinear base to aged silver B logo hardware remains the same. Measuring 40 cm wide at its widest and 25 cm high, the seasonal Crush Sling comes in a large size. Fully lined in nappa lambskin, the oversized bag holds three roomy compartments for easy organisation.

Retailing at SGD4950, the Crush Sling is available for pre-orders, with shipping slated for October 2023. Lilies or poppies? That’s the choice you have to make.
