Prada’s new season Leather Tote is very telling of the two creatives behind the Italian fashion house. Miuccia Prada, for her love of clean lines, simple silhouettes and the use of high-quality materials. Plus her co-creative director Raf Simons’ sublime gravitation towards unconventional techniques and a love for referencing art and culture.

The result is a utilitarian tote bag with a shiny mirror finish taking inspiration from industrial metal flooring. To achieve this effect, it employs an embossing technique on the silver leather exterior. For the finishing touch, a hot-stamped Prada Milano logo sits within a subtle triangular space in the middle.

Appearing on Look 30 of the runway show, the silver Leather Tote is definitely a unique one. Male models came down the runway in tailored looks while holding different iterations of the leather tote. It also starred alongside Prada ambassador Li Xian in campaign imagery Willy Vanderperre lensed.

Designed for functional daily use, the tote even comes with an accompanying Prada stainless steel bottle (SGD5900). This fits snugly into a removable bottle strap holder within the interior. Best of all, you can choose to either recreate the runway look or use the two elements separately.

Besides the silver industrial metal-inspired tote, two additional variations in Prada Symbole will also be available. Sans straps, they come with the hot-stamped embossed motif in either Black or White. You can opt to hold it by hand via the woven tape handles or cradle it close to your body.
