If you’re into scented candles that smell and look good, put Alexander McQueen’s first-ever candle collection on your radar. It comprises a trio of candles, each conceived by a different perfumer to deliver unique olfactory experiences.

Embodying the British fashion house’s culture of juxtaposition between contrasting elements, the exciting launch offers a scented play between fragility and strength, tradition and modernity, as well as fluidity and severity.

Crafted from a combination of rapeseed and black mineral waxes, the 200 g candles offer approximately 40 to 55 hours of burn time each. Firstly, boasting a shiny silver-tone lid, Ghost Flower sets out to awaken your senses. Its contrasting blend sees delicate floral freesia and peony come together with deep earthy notes of patchouli.

Next, a gunmetal-tone lid characterises Pagan Rose. Similarly inspired by juxtapositions, this evokes the tension between fragile wild rose and intense earthy peat. Lastly, Savage Bloom, complete with a gold-tone metal lid is powerful yet graceful. This concoction brims with the warmth of tuberose and intoxicating oud.

Scents aside, there’s also the decorative narrative. Encased in striking egg-shape jet black lacquered glass vessels measuring approximately 10 cm by 16 cm, these edgy candles double as statement-making décor pieces that will fill your space with both fragrance and personality.

Priced at SGD650 each, the all-new candles are now available at Alexander McQueen’s boutique at Marina Bay Sands and online.
