Balenciaga’s Hourglass Now Comes In Full Metallic Brass

Balenciaga is going all out this season, launching a full metallic minaudière that takes after its iconic Hourglass bag. Weighing approximately 956 grams, the Hourglass Metal XS rendered entirely in solid brass is the most precious one yet. It also doubles as a work of art or an ultimate statement maker whenever you’re out and about.

The bag, measuring 19 cm wide and 14 cm high, opens via a magnetic closure. Its rigid structure does mean that only a very select set of items can fit within, however.

A compact cardholder, a small (very small) portable charger and lipstick are some potentials on the short list. Flip the bag shut and carry it via the rigid top handle or accompanying chain strap for a full metal-on-metal look.

Pre-orders are open at Balenciaga Singapore’s online store, at SGD31,320 for either option in gold or silver brass. Forget logos and monograms; going full metal is the way to go as far as Balenciaga is concerned.
