Pale blue denim pretty much peaked in the early 2000s (2001, to be specific) when Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake wore matching outfits to the American Music Awards. It took the fashion world by storm, setting a new trend for head-to-toe denim looks that lasted a few seasons.

Fast forward some two decades later... With Y2K fashion making a comeback, a number of fashion houses are re-introducing pale blue denim to current collections. Coach, for example, has new bags and accessories that fit right in line with the ongoing trend.

In comes a selection under Coach’s Signature Denim range, with the pale blue hue taking the lead. SLGs like the Zip Card Case (SGD175) and the Small Wristlet (SGD195) are wallet-friendly choices. Looking to get something dressier? Then consider the stylish Swinger 20 (SGD425) bag. Measuring 20 cm by 12 cm, it packs a chic top handle long enough to wear over the shoulder.

Bigger offerings retail at SGD750 each, so it’s down to which style better suits your needs. Go for the Ruby Satchel 18 if you love a barrel-shaped silhouette. Fashioned with a wide top zip, it holds all your essentials within the 18 cm by 12 cm body. Alternatively, the Field Tote 22 is an everyday workhorse which measures 22 cm by 21 cm. Aside from top handles, both bags come with extra leather straps for multiple ways of wearing.

Finally, rounding up the lot is Coach’s latest design that lets you channel your inner schoolgirl. The 23 cm by 21.5 cm Riya Backpack 21 is perfect for casual weekends or a short jaunt overseas. Complete with signature glove-tanned leather on the handle and turn-lock closure on the front pocket, it’s already an ultimate Coach classic.

All six pale blue Signature Denim items are available at Coach Singapore boutiques, and online. So you know where to go if you’re ready to channel the early-2000s style.
