An established icon at Moynat, the Gabrielle was named after the Belle Époque actress Gabrielle Réjane. Taking inspiration from classic Limousine trunks, the curved stitching at its base mimicked the cut-out shape found on the luggage.

The elegant creation carries a distinctive twist-lock closure that forms a letter M when closed. It also doubles up as a shiny decorative piece, a bold chic statement against the structured leather body. Wider but shorter, the Gabrielle Clutch is Moynat’s alternative take on the classic Gabrielle.

The Gabrielle Clutch (SGD6600) measures 26 cm wide and 16.5 cm high. The rectangular clutch is a compact option ideal for daily use. Come April, two new colours will be joining the family. The first is Tonka, which carries a brownish, almost chocolatey hue. Interestingly, it will come with contrast stitching, a unique design element that emphasises the maison’s precise craftsmanship.

Not many brands can commit this level of uniform stitching and quality controls when creating their leather goods. Yet Moynat is one of the rare few that continues to do so. The second colour is Prussian Blue, otherwise referred to as Bleu de Prusse. Both options come in Veau Carat leather, with gold-tone hardware and an adjustable and removable 102 cm strap for crossbody wear.

To launch soon at Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre, these are the two new hues to consider for the beloved Gabrielle Clutch.
