There’s an equally decadent selection of SLGs created especially for the season. You can think of them as tinier expressions of handbags, except rendered in miniature formats. These are affectionately known as the ‘clutch with chain’ bags.

For starters, Chanel reinvented the classic bowler bag in an adorable 16 cm by 11 cm size. Decked out in red patent calfskin and gold-tone metal, this SLG comes with two leather-interlaced short handles. An extra longer matching sling adds multiple ways of carrying.

Then there’s the precious oval shape version that stole the show with its tiny 12 cm by 8.5 cm proportions. Diamond-quilted lambskin covers the entire accessory, which many refer to as the ‘egg’ or ‘soap bar’ bag. It also features shiny detailing in the form of a CC logo clasp and oversized ‘CHANEL’ in front.

Lastly, the line-up concludes with the white lambskin vanity-style bag. Another staple of the house, this 17 cm by 9.5 cm bag opens to a roomy interior. Within are three card slots, a lipstick holder and a long mirror for touch-ups on the go.
