Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2023 runway collection was a treat for the visual senses. Especially in the leather goods department which focused on all things XL. Iconic elements of the house received the upsized treatment, and the cheeky touch left the fans wanting more. Fast forward several months later and the collection is finally reaching our shores, with these five must-have pieces.

Going in a clockwise direction, the line-up starts with the Pochette Clés XL (SGD5300). Modelled after Louis Vuitton’s signature key pouch, the SLG transforms into a whopping 50 cm by 30.8 cm zipper bag. Even the zip pull comes in a gigantic format, with the gold-tone hook clasp big enough to slide your wrist through.

Next, we come to the Key Bell XL (SGD3700) in beige natural cowhide leather. Predominantly an accessory for bags with locks like the Alma, the key bell now converts into a full-size bag. Measuring 27 cm by 19.5 cm, it comes with a long strap for crossbody carry. Although no one’s stopping you from holding (or rather, hugging) it like a clutch.

The next two are existing Louis Vuitton bags that get a larger-than-life lock. Both the Twist Lock XL (SGD6200) and Mini Dauphine Lock XL (SGD5250) are pretty self-explanatory. Each features a magnified Twist and LV Circle respectively, forming a distinct juxtaposition against the miniature body. Measuring 19 cm by 16.5 cm for the Twist and 20 cm by 15 cm for the Dauphine, they come in classic materials you already know and love.

Lastly, the S-Lock XL (SGD5500), which is arguably the dressiest piece of the lot. Six Louis Vuitton-engraved rivets embellish all corners of the 19 cm by 16.5 cm bag. Shaped like the brand’s inimitable trunk lock, this full-leather piece in deep-dyed calfskin is super versatile. Carry it via its top handle or even remove it, before attaching the adjustable shoulder strap for a hands-free look.
