Think of the Peekaboo and Silvia Venturini Fendi’s iconic design for the Italian fashion house immediately comes to mind. Launched several moons back for Fendi's Spring-Summer 2009 collection, the Peekaboo came in an unexpected shape, with its front flap deliberately left unfastened for a carefree, cheeky look.

The rest, as they say, is history. The Peekaboo soon cemented its position as one of the must-have classics, alongside its sibling, the Baguette. Fast forward to Spring-Summer 2023, and Fendi gives the Peekaboo a transformational update for the season.

Meet the Peekaboo Cut.

While the Peekaboo’s signature trapezoid shape remains, they opted to remove the top handle. Taking its place is a sleek metal bar, with strong lines and a stiff partition giving the bag a sharp look all around.

Measuring 34 wide (at the base) and 18.5 cm high, the Peekaboo Cut wears like an oversized clutch. You can either carry on its own or sling it with the accompanying O’Lock chain. With a glossy leather exterior and soft nappa lining, the full-leather bag is as luxe as it gets.

Retailing at SGD6700, the bag is available in Black, Brown and Pink for now. And with the vintage palladium-finish bar providing an interesting contrast, the Peekaboo Cut is truly a cut above the rest.
