For fans who keep asking for more OG intrecciato pieces, here’s some welcome news. Bottega Veneta seems to have gotten the memo. There are an increasing number of styles decked out in the classic woven leather you know and love. One of these is the new-in Andiamo that Matthieu Blazy introduced in his Summer 2023 collection for Bottega Veneta.

Translating to ‘let’s go’, the Andiamo is an everyday bag that you can take with you wherever and whenever. Online, you’ll find models Dara and Paola draping the bag’s sliding braided straps over the shoulder. This adjustable feature is also long enough to wear across the body, adding a new dimension to the Andiamo bag.

On days you prefer to carry it via the single top handle, simply pull the braided strap inwards. This results in the brass knot forming a chic, shiny logo in the middle. Just as beautiful on the inside, each bag is fully lined in bonded lambskin that is smooth to the touch. The compartmentalised interior also features a zipper pocket for extra security.

There are three sizes, starting with the Small Andiamo (SGD5480). Measuring 25 cm wide and 22 cm high, it comes in Fondant, Ice Cream, Travertine and White. Do note that the colours differ with the size, as the 32.5 cm by 24 cm Medium Andiamo (SGD6930) comes in Fondant, Glacier, Inkwell and Travertine, instead.

Then, there’s the biggest of them all, Bottega Veneta’s Large Andiamo (SGD10,960), at 42 cm wide and 35 cm high. This is currently available in Barolo and Fondant, both brighter hues fitting right in line with the season.

A new classic-in-the-making with the signature intrecciato weave, the Andiamo for both him and her is one bag that’s a definite must-have for the season and beyond.
