Ever wondered what goes into the making of your favourite Loewe bag? Well, now you can sneak a peek at the step-by-step process of Loewe ateliers in Madrid creating the Puffer Goya.

A reinterpretation of the original Goya flap bag but with a whimsical, inflated finish, the Puffer Goya is all about adding a tactile element thanks to its pillow-like texture. Creative director Jonathan Anderson was all about embracing the importance of ‘touch’. Something that goes hand-in-hand with the product’s appearance for the season.

Loewe shares that expert artisans first select the leather based on its thickness. So you can expect a uniform finish across the entire bag once it’s complete. They then cut out leather parts to a preset template to prevent wastage, while ensuring precise accuracy.

For the Puffer Goya, they construct the interior first, with guided stitching of the leather parts enforced by the artisans. Next, natural goose feathers puff up the exterior, before the seams are reinforced to seal the pillowy texture within.

Hardware in the form of the metallic donut chain and gold-tone Anagram complete the look, rounding it up as one of the must-have Loewe bags for the season.  Retailing at SGD4850 due to the immense technicality that goes into the Puffer Goya, you can look forward to eight different colours.

Choose from Black, Burgundy, Camel, Clay Green, Dark Chocolate, Dark Khaki Green, Plumrose and Tea Dust Glaze. Pillowy, puffy and perfectly made, what’s not to love about the Puffer Goya?
