Suncare doesn’t have to be boring. Case in point, the wardrobe of sunscreens offered by Australian SPF brand Ultra Violette. The cult-favourite label has just landed in Singapore. The launch brings with it five products that offer a combination of skincare and sunscreen. Each is full of skin-loving ingredients that are as potent as their SPF counterparts.
Besides offering chemical and mineral formulas for different skin concerns, they come in radiant or matte finishes. The formulas are also known to play well with makeup and won’t leave a white cast. Wondering how to navigate the line? Here’s where to start.
First up, the hero of the range, the Queen Screen SPF50+ (SGD55). It’s a lightweight, silky serum brimming with antioxidants and kakadu plum that’s rich in vitamin C. While offering a dose of natural-looking radiance and SPF50+ protection, it also acts as the perfect base for makeup. This is great for normal to dry skin and also boasts a subtle rose scent.
For a gentler option, there’s the Clean Screen SPF30 (SGD48) that’s ideal for acne-prone or normal to combination skin. The fragrance-free formula comes as a lightweight gel. It protects with titanium dioxide that is also known for its skin-soothing properties.
On the hunt for a mineral-only option? Opt for the Lean Screen SPF50+ (SGD52). The zinc-only, fragrance-free formula offers a matte finish and works great for anyone with oily or reactive skin.
If you’re unsure which SPF is right for you, consider the hydrating Supreme Sunscreen SPF50+ (SGD52). It’s a moisturiser, sunscreen and primer rolled into one. The lazy girl’s approach, which offers a satin finish and a clean scent, is for all skin types.
And because your lips need protection too, there’s the Sheen Screen SPF50 Hydrating Lip Balm (SGD26). In four cute shades, Rose, Dusk, Shimmer and Peach, it protects your pout with lanolin, shea and cacao seed butters. Get soft and smooth lips, with a wash of colour and subtle shine.
