Longchamp takes an innovative approach to end-of-the-roll fabrics by launching the quirky Le Pliage Re-Play line. New bag styles comprise the Crossbody Bag (actually more of a belt bag), Shoulder Bag and Top Handle Bag. All three refreshing silhouettes appear for the first time at the French fashion house.

Wondering how the upcycling came into play? Well, Longchamp first recovered leftover nylon from the original Le Pliage bags. Essentially the ends of the rolls that can’t be used for anything else. He then gave them fresh new life by spinning them into the Re-Play collection. Made from 100 percent recycled materials, they are lightweight and made to last. And come in vibrant colour combinations that will find favour with most anyone.

All styles in the unisex Le Pliage Re-Play collection feature a three-fold colour format. They appear in six different combinations, namely Celadon, Fuchsia, Green, Khaki, Orange and Red Lacquer for totes and shoulder bags. Both bags serve different functions too.

The Shoulder Bag (19 cm by 14 cm) is perfect for taking out to lunch or afternoon teas, while the vertical Top Handle (39 cm by 27 cm) tote is big enough for A4 documents and the like.

The Crossbody Bag, on the other hand, comes only in Celadon and Fuchsia. It comes in a compact pouch format that measures 19 cm wide and 13 cm high.

The entire Le Pliage Re-Play collection is now available to shop in Singapore. Prices range from SGD125 for the Shoulder Bag to SGD155 for the Top Handle Bag.
