In case you haven’t gotten the memo, half-moon bags are still very much on trend. If you appreciate the duality of form and function that the lunar-inspired accessory offers, you’ll want to check out Polene Paris’ latest creation, the Tonca.
The latest design from the brand, known for its practical leather options that are equal parts affordable and chic, comes with a clean circular body and a unique sculptural top to add an effortless contemporary touch to your everyday repertoire.
Its round shape is formed by the folds that extend into its twisted gold-plated stainless steel buckle found on just one side of the bag, an appearance obtained by moulding the leather directly on a wooden block.
Measuring 17 cm by 24 cm by 7 cm, the Tonca is just the right fit for daily essentials. It comes with a suede inner lining, leather inner pocket, and a hassle-free magnetic closure instead of a zipper, which makes it easier to get in and out of the bag.
Hand-made in Spain, the crescent-shaped bag is crafted in full-grain textured calf leather and paired with an adjustable smooth leather strap, which goes from 95 cm to 119 cm, for crossbody or slightly longer shoulder wear.
The Tonca is available for pre-order for USD390 online via Polène Paris, and will be shipped out from 24 June. Choose from five of the brand’s classic hues including Black, Camel, Chalk, Cognac and Taupe. Which colour will it be for you?
