Kenzo has been creating buzz ever since Nigo took over as the brand’s artistic director last year. It’s a fitting role, considering Kenzo was originally founded by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, and Nigo is a huge name in Japan with multiple titles under his belt.

Not only is he a renowned DJ and producer, he is also a celebrated designer helming 1 of the biggest streetwear lines, A Bathing Ape (BAPE, for short).

Nigo’s urban approach to fashion shines through in his debut collection for Kenzo, and he specifically chose to showcase the poppy flower in a whole new light.

A special Kenzo Poppy capsule comprising limited-edition RTW, shoes and accessories is now available for sale, and you can check out these new tote bags which come decorated with Nigo’s interpretation of the iconic flower.

Retailing at SGD675 a pop, the Kenzo Poppy Tote Bag comes with a vibrant print covering almost the entire front side of the 41 cm by 38 cm bag. Ecru and Navy Blue are paired with a red and yellow poppy flower respectively before it’s finished with the green Kenzo signature at the base.

Each bag has 2 flat pockets to keep things neatly organised, and they are sold together with an adjustable strap if you prefer to wear it over the shoulder.

The 100 percent cotton totes are an absolute breeze to carry, and you can find them in limited quantities at Kenzo Singapore’s online store ahead of the local launch. Can’t decide on a colour? Why not get both because these bags by Nigo (his first at Kenzo, by the way) look set on becoming collectibles.
