When Dior unveiled a new selection of micro bags last year, everyone was completely spoilt for choice and having a hard time choosing just one (or perhaps, two) to love. There were the Micro Caro and Micro Saddle bags, both of which came in ultra-miniaturised formats that could sit snuggly within the palm of one’s hand.
Dior also revealed the Micro Lady Dior, a certified classic that measures 12 cm by 10 cm by 5 cm, and it seems to be one of the most popular styles judging by the sheer number of colours it comes in.
The Micro Lady Dior is offered in Cannage lambskin and patent Cannage calfskin leathers, both priced at SGD5300 while giving you two distinct options in terms of looks and texture. Lambskin leather has a matte finishing, and it’s slightly more supple due to its uncoated exterior.
It also serves as the base for colours like Black, Cloud Blue and Pale Yellow, though you can also look forward to other seasonal interpretations like Dark Mint, Latte, Mustard Yellow and Rose des Vents, to name a few.
Love your bags shiny? You can keep an eye out for the patent Cannage calfskin leather rendered in shades of Cornflower Blue and Peony Pink. These eye-catching hues are also perfect for the season, and the coated surface is sure to make a statement wherever you go.
Making a smaller bag isn’t solely about reducing the dimensions and materials used, as Dior has to make sure that the stitches, seams and hardware are all made in similar proportions to fully suit the bag. The result is a playful interpretation of one of the House’s greatest hits, and the Micro Lady Dior is one that’s set to weather the test of time.
