You typically see Bottega Veneta bags coming in an intricate woven pattern for its iconic leather goods, so this whimsical Double Knot bag from its latest line-up will definitely pique the interest of those who love a quirky and unconventional design.

Made entirely out of tubular leather strips which might remind you of freshly made pasta hung out to dry, these elongated strips come together to form the shape of a top handle bag, before it’s finished with double knots (hence the bag’s name) on either side. You can think of it as an updated version of the single knot Jodie, one that’s made extra special thanks to Daniel Lee’s unique choice of materials for the bag.

Interestingly, Bottega Veneta has an equally sassy name for this colourway, calling it Porridge for the one in a pale beige hue. The Double Knot bag will also come in colours like Dark Red and Mystic (purple), all crafted in 100% lambskin leather and fully lined in nylon that will be a breeze to maintain on the inside.

Today, it will only be available in a single size that measures 25 cm wide and 12 cm high, complete with gold hardware zips that add a pop of colour against the coloured leather body. Several pieces are now available at Bottega Veneta’s e-commerce store, though the one in Porridge is only up for pre-orders at the moment. A unique design guaranteed to make a statement? The Double Knot will do the trick for sure.
