There’s no denying the transportive power of a fragrance and for the restless, Aesop’s latest additions to its line of perfumes are small luxuries that you can journey with to explore worlds both real and imagined.

Following the launch of its fourth fragrance Rozu comes the Othertopias collection, comprising three distinct EDPs. Encased in the brand’s unassuming trademark little brown bottle, the unorthodox trio, designed for those seeking unique aromas that know no gender boundaries, takes inspiration from the boat, the shore, and the wasteland to invite a dialogue with nature and encourage imagination.

For starters, there’s Erémia or ‘the wasteland’, which is described as a vibrant fragrance evocative of nature reclaiming the urban wasteland. The hazy scent contrasts waxy florals and earthy undertones with powdery musk and the scent of wet concrete, with notes of galbanum, iris and yuzu that will unlock reverie.

Next up, Karst or ‘the shore’, a herbaceous fragrance that conjures images of the sea and far-off coastlines. Reminiscent of the seashore and Mediterranean flora, the juice is grounded in warm spice and dry woody notes with a hint of smokiness. Imagine aromatics and fresh spices filling the air, with cumin and sandalwood conjuring the salty, metallic notes of a storm rolling in.

Completing the collection is Miraceti or ‘the boat’, which pays homage to the serenity and savagery of the sea. A warm and resinous ode to seafarers, the scent is a blend of earthy woody notes, resin and spice that’s interwoven with incense, seaweed, ambrette and labdanum that hints at the sea breeze and ocean-worn wood.

Can’t wait to catch a whiff? Priced at SGD255 for 50ml, the Othertopias Collection will be available from 5 July 2021 at Aesop boutiques and online via AESOP.
