The time has come for Louis Vuitton’s highly anticipated collaboration with the National Basketball Association (NBA), and you can look forward to an interesting capsule comprising accessories, leather goods, RTW and shoes, all launching in Singapore from 20 November 2020. And judging by the popularity of recent collaborations with Nigo, one can assume that the smaller, more unique pieces from the LV x NBA collection would fly off the shelves first.

Interestingly, this is the first of a three-year partnership with the NBA, so you can imagine what Creative Director Virgil Abloh has in the pipeline for Louis Vuitton and the fans. But for now, here’s a quick run-through of 10 must-have bags and accessories, all of which have been showcased above.

Right off the bat, you will notice that the Soft Trunk Wallet comes in a new format this season, with a single shoulder strap and netted detailing that mimics a basketball hoop and stand. Louis Vuitton’s signature Dopp Kit Toilet Pouch is also given the Abloh touch, now coming with a chain zip detailing and finished with NBA’s cut-out Jerry West logo right at the corner. This logo can also be spotted on various SLGs like bi-fold wallets and the hot-favourite Pocket Organiser, as well as an iced-out necklace that’s not to be missed.

Other accessories include the reversible belt, along with gold-tone bracelets and sunglasses for you to complete the look. And if you are ever in doubt, just go ‘small’ because it will always be easier to match, offering more longevity down the road. Unless of course you are a hardcore NBA fan.
