Back in August 2018, Chanel Beauty launched Boy de CHANEL, a grooming line dedicated to men. What started off as 3 essentials (a lip balm, eyebrow pencil, and foundation) decked in sleek, matte midnight blue packaging has now grown to include a new skincare offering and 3 makeup options that even the ladies will want to borrow.

First up, the Fortifying Gel Moisturizer (SGD144) that is set to be a mainstay in any beauty routine. It contains a blend of a hyaluronic acid derivative and glycerin, as well as an antioxidant active ingredient to deliver continuous hydration for up to 24 hours and protect skin from oxidative stress. Being a fresh, lightweight gel-cream, it absorbs quickly with no greasy residue and is kind to all skin types, even sensitive skin. Also worth a mention is its subtle green scent that refreshes the senses. Use it alone, before your foundation or as an after-shave to soothe any tightness.

Then there’s Le Correcteur (SGD56), a long-wearing creamy concealer that will give tired skin a boost by masking imperfections with ease. Use the non-oily formula to disguise under-eye circles or blemishes as it blends easily and sets to a matte, undetectable finish. In 8 shades, do note that shades N20, No30 and N40 are already available locally.

Another delight is the multipurpose 3-In-1 Eye Pencil (SGD53) with a delicate tip that can be used to line the base of the lashes, as an eyeliner at the inner corner of the eyes, or blended as an eyeshadow. In 3 pigmented, matte shades, namely 614 Brown, 616 Navy and 618 Black.

To round things up and to complete those impeccably groomed hands, there’s Le Vernis (SGD41) nail colour. The quick-drying formula comes in two matte shades, 402 Natural for a clean finish and 404 Black for a more intense look. Plus, it has a flat circular brush that makes it easy to apply in a single stroke.

The official word is that the new additions to the Boy de CHANEL range will be arriving exclusively at Chanel’s Fragrance & Beauty Boutiques from 31 July 2020. And now that you have saved the date, all that is left is to decide on what to get while you wait.
