Dior x Daniel Arsham Calfskin Zip Charms

Sure, the Rimowa accessories might have garnered loads of attention and hype over at Dior’s Spring-Summer 2020 show, but do not forget the pieces that were done in collaboration with Daniel Arsham, the same ones that are progressively being launched in boutiques since January 2020. Daniel was responsible for the set design as well, which showcased enlarged D-I-O-R letters that were constructed to look like they were eroded, keeping in tune with his artistic works that are predominantly based around the idea of a ‘fictional archaeology’, expressing what today’s objects would look like thousands of years from now.

That set the basis for a majority of the looks, which included deconstructed caps, sweaters, a #DiorSaddle bag that was moulded to look like an artefact, and of course accessories like the zip charms above which were inspired by the everyday objects in Monsieur Christian Dior’s office. This includes a book and telephone which were crafted to give a crystallised-effect print on the white calfskin body, furnished with a split ring and carabiner-style clip.

Each piece opens via a palladium-finished zip closure, with sufficient space for coins and a bit of cash (perhaps even credit cards for the one that’s styled after a book), and all can be used as bag charms or hooked onto belt loops like the cool accessories that they was built to be.

Do note that the Dior x Daniel Arsham Calfskin Zip Charm (SGD850 each) is part of the #DiorMen range which is only available at the boutiques in ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands. Intrigued? #happyshopping
