Gucci Rajah Chain Card Case Wallet

Not to be confused with Princess Jasmine’s protective pet tiger, Gucci’s very own Rajah is actually inspired by vintage pieces from fashion and jewellery designer Hattie Carnegie’s 1940s archives. Her costume jewellery line often featured an interesting mix of artificial pearls, crystals, enamel and glass beads, all elements that also be found in Gucci’s beloved tiger head.

The entire Rajah line is defined by the enamel tiger head covered with crystals, appearing on a of number of bag designs ranging from small shoulder bags and medium bucket bags, right up to larger roomy totes that’s perfect for him or her. A relatively new piece includes the Rajah Chain Card Case Wallet, which comes in a handy size that measures 11 cm by 8.5 cm when closed. It’s essentially a mini wallet (as its name suggests), one that opens to 5 card slots and a long interior open pocket that’s perfect for holding cash and receipts. There’s even a zipped compartment that’s great for coins and keys, making this a fully functional compact wallet on its own.

The other great part is that it comes with an extra gold chain, so you can attach it onto your bigger bag and hang it like a bag charm, or carry it like a teeny tiny bag, thanks to its drop length of 10cm. It might remind you of the Zumi Case that was featured earlier in the year, but these Rajah versions are priced slightly lower. The beige vintage canvas (fully lined in brown leather) is priced at SGD750, while the all-black leather version comes in at SGD810, both of which are now available at Gucci boutiques in Singapore.
