Louis Vuitton S/S19 Mini Dauphine

Call it a trend that won’t go away anytime soon, because vintage bags are being reintroduced in greater numbers than ever before. From Dior’s Saddle that was all the rage in the early 2000s to the Fendi Baguette that has been updated, Louis Vuitton’s very own Dauphine was brought back in Nicolas Ghesquière’s Cruise 2019 collection, with a new size now available that’s part of the S/S19 collection.

The Dauphine (not to be confused with Bernard Arnault’s oldest child, Delphine, who is also the Executive Vice President of Louis Vuitton) is actually inspired by a 1976 model of the very same name, now rendered in a Monogram Canvas/Monogram Reverse and trimmed with smooth tan.

The new Dauphine Mini measures an adorable 20 cm by 15 cm, now finished with a shiny LV lock and gold-tone hardware for that polished look. Armed with a single smart strap that can be worn long across the body or looped twice for a shorter under-the-arm look, the Dauphine Mini is also versatile, with 2 inner compartments (a depth of 9 cm) that will fit everything you need from day to night. Aside from the Monogram Canvas/Monogram Reverse variant that is available in Singapore now and retailing for SGD3600, the Dauphine Mini is also available in a bi-colour Taurillon leather finish for those who prefer a luxe touch.

Choose between the Bruni Brown/Strawberry Milk Pink or the Snow White/Blackberry Purple that’s priced at SGD4350 each. A tad higher, but remember if you really think about it, you are topping up just a little more for full leather bags.
