Fans of MCM would be familiar with the Berlin line of bags, one that’s always reintroduced in various colours and designs season after season. Its popular trunk-like silhouette aside, it has also become an icon of the German bag maker, and now it makes an appearance in the form of  bright neon patent leather finishes to mark the official opening of MCM Playground on 21 November 2018 at Paragon Shopping Centre.

There are three bright colours to keep an eye out for: bright orange, bright pink and bright yellow, with the fourth being known as White Flake for those who prefer an all-white glossy finish. The bag itself comes in the standard Berlin Crossbody size of 19 cm by 14 cm and makes for a great day handbag, or the perfect afternoon piece to carry when you’re out having tea with the girls.

Armed with four metal hardware caps at the corners, the hard-sided bag is also decorated with the MCM signature monogram and finished with the metallic plaque right at the very centre. Carrying it is pretty straightforward, via the single top-handle or strap on the detachable leather strap and you’re good to go.
