It’s not just the likes of Céline that are doing supermarket shoppers this season. Balenciaga has their own version too, but with a tiny difference. Unlike the former ones that are made out of thick clear vinyl, the ones from Balenciaga come completely made of creased leather, much like the Arena leather they use for most of their other bags. The other difference? It’s completely opaque with Balenciaga’s logo printed in multiples all over the tote, which are kinda like actual supermarket plastic bags that come with logo upon logo upon logo.

Measuring some 32 cm across by 43 cm at its tallest points, this leather shopper folds flat, but when it is filled it will become bulbous and round, much like an actual supermarket shopper. What’s not the same? While those plastic bags cost next to nothing, this tote retails for GBP855 over on Mr Porter, or around SGD1600 after conversion.
