Cool and coveted, Gucci’s Ace sneakers have given a fresh update as part of its Pre-Fall 2017 collection. New designs? Not really. More colour combinations? Well, not exactly. Customisable with detachable patches? Yes, yes, yes. Updated with laminated snakeskin heel tabs, these New Ace sneakers now sport snap buttons as well, which means you can snap on (or take off) the designated embroidered patches that each pair comes with. And if you get tired of the patches you’ve already got? No worries, more patches are available for purchase separately, so you can pretty much mix them up any which way you like.

Available in variations for both the boys and the girls, ladies will have 6 styles that they can buy off-the-rack that come featured with patches ranging from animals and words to the all-important pineapple (because #huatah) and even a fully embellished crystal bow that’s not for the faint-hearted. All standouts in their own right, you can customise these sneakers further by interchanging them with even more patches that include motifs like bees, bows, flowers and snowflakes, just to name a few.

Boys will get to choose from 5 styles, from Angry Cat (who doesn’t love Angry Cat), panthers, even a dragon paired with the UFO. Customise them further with patches that include a beaded heart that’s pierced with a sword, more animals, even a pearl-adorned numeric 25.

And because Gucci’s big on packaging, each pair of sneakers will come in a specially designed box with a black satin dust bag and a paper bag that’s adorned with a rainbow. Priced at SGD990 to SGD1430 a pair for the ladies (while shoes for the boys range from SGD990 to SGD1090), extra patches will set you back by SGD330 to SGD490 (depending on the design) which is pretty reasonable considering the fact that just by changing the patches you get a whole new pair of shoes altogether. Now available at Gucci boutiques in Singapore, excuse me while I head down to get my pair before everything is sold out.
